The final film in our Orson Welles season is a terrific film noir. One night, Michael O'Hara, an Irish sailor, saves a mysterious and beautiful woman from an assault.
After a brief conversation she disappears into the night. Later, O'Hara receives a job offer to work on Arthur Bannister's yacht, a wealthy lawyer and the husband of the woman he saved, Elsa Bannister.
As O'Hara is drawn closer to Elsa, so too is he engulfed by the Bannister's complex world of love, lies and murder...
